Welcome to the project. We can use all the hands we can get. There is a lot to complete and even more to start. I'm currently wrapping up an alternate, second version, script for the first installment. There are character design and visual issues to be address and resolved. Take a stab at something and if you have any questions or suggestion, please make them known. Thank you very much for your interest and welcome again to our little family.

Hey, all! Another newbie here. I think I've pretty much got myself up to speed (I spent a good three hours perusing the board last night), and needless to say, I love the Silmarillion and would like to offer my assistance. I'm an English major, so I can help in the writing department if I'm needed. I would absolutely love to do some voice acting, and I'll post in the appropriate volunteer thread. I also have a little bit of artistic experience, so I could probably do some character concept art...maybe. Anything I can do to help. HiddenValor

Hello Hiddenvalor! Welcome aboard. We are very happy to have you join us. Maybe you can step up and take my place working with Glofindel. I was very heavily involved at one time working with hS revising the script. Then I had to step away due to a move and college and then hS stepped away right about the same time that "G" joined us. He decided that he didn't want to revise the existing script, he wanted to write a whole new script from scratch. My intentions were to work with him as I had hS, however we are still waiting for him to post his version of the script and I am buried working to two jobs and going to college. I still check the board everyday and sometimes "G" and I communicate on PM. I try to at least jump in here from time to time and welcome the new people. Things are really moving slow right now. I think we have a good crew and a lot of talented people have offered to assist, but there isn't much that can be done artistically, or acting until we have a workable script. I beg everyone that joins to please be patient with us and don't get bored and bail out. We are still alive and working on this, it's just slow going because we all have other commitments and cannot devote major amounts of time to this. Have fun!

Hello and welcome Hiddenvalor! It is our privilege to have you join us. To echo some things that Tamitha stated, participation here is in a constant flux. Sometimes there is a lot of activity and posting, and then there may be a few days where nobody post. I'm in it for the duration unless some unforeseen crisis comes up. Tamitha mentioned that I'm doing an alternative script for "The Fall of the Noldor" which will be posted in the next ten days. I am a novice at all of this but thought I would try my hand at screenwriting. I hope to do some storyboarding after the script has be given the once over and is rejected wholly, accepted wholly, or partially merged with the first script. Feel free to post whatever questions, suggestion, treatments, sketches that you have. Thanks again for joining.

Welcome a'Board, hiddenvalor! (And any else whom I've missed in my not-being-here. Sorry!) It's nice to see a new face, and such an enthusiastic one! The Board hasn't seen this much posting action in quite a while. It's great to see your excitement and energy coming to this project. Good on you! *double thumbs-up*
And, as I always say when I show up, sorry for my extended absences. I'm a bit busy writing a 450+ page monstrosity of a video game novelization, and, yeah, that takes up a lot of time. Also as I always say, I'm going to try to show up more often. (Other members, feel free to laugh at that... *guilt*)

Well met, mathers! We're glad to have you on-board with the rest of us Tolkien-nerds. To answer your question, I dunno if you've perused the forum some, but it's been the general consensus to do all animated stuff--seeing as our budget is next to zilch--so we won't get to have all the A-list actors for our favorite characters and such, but I hear that some of the script people are borrowing scene ideas from the Jackson movies to give our films some familiarity in style. We haven't gotten heavily into the music yet, but any contributions you may have will be greatly appreciated. Heck, any contributions to anything would be greatly appreciated. I also hope you're a really patient person, cuz we're gonna be here for a while. Thanks for joining! HV

i know its goin to be animated, what i meant is would it give the same sort of view an auro of tolkiens work that the films did?
and i can help with the music aspect, im mates with a few really talented musicians who play various classical instruments i could perhaps get a few samples sorted after my exams are over. sound good?
