I sent a message through his site but got an error. I don't know if it went through.
Tamitha, If you get the chance, please try and see if you have better success. I will try again from my other laptop at home.
Thanks,
G.

Hey there. I went onto his myspace, but it wanted me to log in or sign up. I do not have nor do I want a myspace page. I wasn't sure what exactly I was signing up for and I'm NAVY. "Never Again Volunteer Yourself - Ha! Ha! I dunno. Maybe he will wander back this way. I have plans this weekend, but I should be able to start working on this more diligently next weekend. If it ends up being just you and me for a while then I guess we will hold down the fort until someone shows up to who can and will take charge of the art and animation section and the music. I think once we have a script to offer up those who wander in will actually have something to sink their teeth into and may have a go at it. It's just they show up and then they get tired of waiting for something to happen. They get bored and lose interest. I looked at your voting sites, but I don't have the time currently to participate, but I will be back next weekend for sure. Your Sam is a bit busy fighting off giant spiders and orcs disguising themselves as massive doctor bills and taxes (I live in a Commonwealth- fun, fun). They are relentless and pursued me even into Lothlorian, but with a little grace from the powers that be my aim will be true and I shall come to your aid forthright.

well, one thing to think about is that they have been hiding underground for the three ages that melkor was imprisoned, so their wings would still be there, but be very weak/translucent. or their wings could consist of entirely fire and/or shadow. that wold make it more believable as a reason they can't fly, whilst keeping them for appearance and as a kind of weapon.

Sounds good. I think that the wings are used to "fan up" the smoke.

My 2 cents on the Balrog wing issue, is that the wings help fan the flames and smoke that surround the creature. It could be stated that they were able to fly before they turned to serve Melkor (now bound to the ground for their strength and power of flame).
