I'm watching Firefly on DVD, whole series is out now, with 3 never before seen episodes (since the series was canceled prematurely *grrrrrr curse you Fox!*).
Yeah, it is a bit westernish, but I was hoping with Finale and several musically inclined people around, we could...de-western-ify it. Maybe even elf-ify it.

I have a short tune I composed on the recorder, which might possibly be useful for something for Daeron to play? It's sort of a lament, and very short.

I have some stuff on the guitar and the flute that I could play. Also, there's a couple songs we have in choir that maybe you guys would like to hear.

I'll try to get some recordings of local choirs here, and some instrumental stuff. Great work on showing initiative here, guys! ~ Chronicler ~

Now to work out what time signature it's in...(how sad is that? I don't know, and I wrote it...I think it's something divisible by three....) And what key...I'm so bad at such things! Must get help from musically inclined friends...

A friend of mine wrote some really amazing, cinematic music for a play; we could use it, but I don't really know how to make it available for you all to listen to. Is there some way I can attach it in an e-mail to Chronicler, or something of the sort? It's good stuff, but not very varied; all based on one theme. Very dramatic.

Well, we don't have to necessarily use all of it...

Exactly. Perhaps just the last track or something.

If the group e-mail account gets opened, you could probably send it there, and then everyone would be able to listen to it...

I've sent the last track to Saphy/Chronicler to listen to...if she can I'm sure she'll make it available to the group.

I am sort of mucialy inclined. I love to sing. I play the violin, the piano and the clarinet.(not at the same time ) I also like composing tunes on my Noteworthy Composer on my computer. I think that for the music that is invented we should look at Tolkien's poetry in his books for lyrical inspiration.

Nifty stuff, Rose! ^^ And definitely good suggestion on the lyrics; although some stuff will have to be written by us. Hm...
Okay, my computer is stupid and won't let me access the clip ye sent me, Maeglin. Could you possibly format it as an MP3 and then resend it?

Any lyrics we have to write, I could probably do...I'm rather good with rhyme. (at least, I think so...)

Elennar, you are excellent at lyrics... I love your hiku's.
For a modern-like song maybe Amethystium's Avalonfor any traveling scene. I don't have a website for you guys to listen to it but, I'll go search for one. It's from their Odonata album. The beat of the song sounds sort of like slow moving feet, both animal and person steps. For what type of music it is, its a blend of new age, darkwave, ethno-ambient and electronica.
