As the scripts develop, more and more parts will become available. I'm thinking it'd be a good idea to note down available roles from the script in progress, and then if people get the parts we can add who's doing each voice. Obviously there'll be quite a lot of doubling...
I don't envisage doing anything myself, sadly; I haven't got the time or the equipment...
So, so far here are the voices required in "Lay of Luthien"-in order of appearance
FINROD FELAGUND
MOUNTED ELF
BARAHIR
THINGOL
BELEG
DAERON
LUTHIEN
DAGNIR
HATHALDIR
BEREN
GORLIM
GILDOR
SAURON
ORC (later ORC-CAPTAIN)
EILINIEL
ELROND (voiceover)
MORGOTH
MABLUNG
MELIAN
GALADRIEL
CELEBORN
EDRAHIL
ANDLANG
ORODRETH (no lines yet!)
CELEGORM
CURUFIN
ELF NOBLE
THURINGWETHIL
ORC CAPTAIN 2
ORC TURNKEY 1
ORC TURNKEY 2
FEANORIAN GUARD
CELEBRIMBOR
HUAN
DRAUGLUIN (both Draugluin and Huan are put later than their first appearances, as they do not have any lines for a bit)
CAPTIVE
ELF CAPTAIN
FINGOLFIN
GOTHMOG
CARCHAROTH
ORC SENTRY
ORC SENTRY 2
GLORFINDEL'S BALROG
GANDALF'S BALROG
(There are also extras, of course, for whom a general hubbub sound is often needed-Edain Riders, Courtiers of Doriath, Citizens of Nargothrond, Werewolves, Orcs, Prisoners of Sauron.)
I've added some more recent parts that have appeared.

Okay, then... here's the projected list for FotN, with *s by those who've already appeared.
THE AINUR
Melkor* Manwe* Varda* Namo* Yavanna* Nienna* Tulkas* Orome* Aule* Ulmo Nessa* Irmo*
VANYAR
Indis Ingwe
NOLDOR
Finwe* Feanor* Maedhros* Maglor* Celegorm Curufin Caranthir Amrod* Amras Fingolfin* Fingon* Finarfin* Artanis* Finrod Orodreth Nerdanel* Noldor #1*
TELERI
Olwe
OTHERS Ungoliant*
Three of the Valie -- Vana, Este, Vaire -- are not included because they don't seem likely to say anything. Some children of Fingolfin and Finarfin aren't included because they may well not speak throughout. Equally, other Random Extras, like Noldo #1 (who may turn out to be Edrahil or somesuch by the end of this), may show up.
Also, battle effects will be needed for Alqualonde and a couple of other sequences.
Oh, and I've only got a rather pathetic mictrophone, which won't work on my laptop, so I may have to refrain from voicing anything. If anyone can clean up the sounds, though...
-- correction, it /will/ work on the laptop. I just have to shout a bit.

All I've got is an old half-dead tape recorder...I'm not even sure if it still works at all. But I'd love to audition for something... I may be able to find a friend with a microphone or something.

Ooo, nice lists. As soon as I can get hold of some recording equipment, I'll send in an audition. If there's a line available in the script, would it be better to read that instead of from the Silm itself? ~ Chronicler ~

Irmo sounds appealing... But, i really haven't done a voice check in awhile. I might have a decent recorder somewhere...

I'll try to get a few of my friends involved with this, they've got some nice sound recording stuff, and they are very good actors too.

You know, I actually went to Wally World and bought a desktop microphone last school year... the stupid thing didn't work. I'm gonna have to get creative in order to find quality recording equipment... I read aloud a few of Ungoliant's lines whilst reading G's FoTN...I wish I could have recorded myself trying to sound scary and spider-esque, lol.

Once I get some issues out of the way, I may be able to look into the issue of sound. My brother is a musician (teaches guitar) and may be able to help us out on this. He may be able to help a little on the music end too. If only this was a space opera or futuristic movie like "Blade Runner", "The Matrix". He has some cool sounds for something like that already but they would not fit our needs.
