Hello Maeglin! So happy you have returned to us. The board is alive and well. Some are more active than others for various reasons, but the project is surviving. At least it isn't a ghost town anymore. Most of us here are pretty dedicated to seeing this become a reality, so your presence is needed and wanted. I think we have some pretty good talent starting to surface.

Lol...I've been poking around some more on the boards...and realized just how dead this place has been for the past few years--G and tamitha certainly weren't exaggerating. It may just be the handful of us for the duration of the project, but I just want you guys to know that even though I'll be working full-time this summer, I'll still have enough free time to commit to this project. And this may sound corny to some people, but I will certainly pray for this project as well--that we get some more people involved who are willing to suck it up and stick it out. What comes to my mind now is Theoden's speech at the Charge of the Rohirrim and Aragorn's speech at the Black Gate at the end of the movie trilogy: youtube.com/watch?v=_8xsXoDBnNE Arise! Arise, Riders of Theoden! Spears shall be shaken, Shields shall be splintered, A sword day! A red day, e're the sun rises!www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GgSdiX0kDISons of Gondor! Of Rohan! My brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of Men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the Age of Men comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!HiddenValor

That reminds me...has a director been officially named for these films? I'm not trying to plug for myself, but I'm curious as to who the big boss is right now.

If you check out the members board hS, Chronicler and Ka are the Maia or Rulers of the board. hS is technically the Big Boss. He started this board and he wrote the original script although now that Maeglin has returned he will certainly have a lot of input when we get round to editing his script. I am a writer myself and I am a firm believer in respecting the author. A writers work is his/her baby, he/she poured out his/her heart and soul and we should be sensitive when editing. We should not just destroy someone's masterpiece, we should patiently work with each other so as to bring out the very best of us all. I really don't know why hS bailed out or when he will be back. He is a fun guy and he knows how to use humor when correcting his collegues, but mind you on that same note he is very outspoken and he can be sharp if you don't know how to take him. He is very firm about cannon and has a plethora of historical Tolkien books at his disposal so he doesn't let any stray too far. He will not hesitate to rein someone in. When he is present he is very serious about doing this the right way. I haven't had much dealing with Chronicler so I don't know her personality and Ka has been gone for years. I really hope that hS comes back someday. I miss him a lot, he was fun to work with and I looked to him as my guide and mentor. "G" and I are just kind of drifting and doing our own thing. We assume we must not be too far out of line since Chronicler hasn't reprimanded anything we are currently doing. For a long while hS was logging on, but not posting anything, but now he's been gone since March, so we are kind of on our own for now. I think the best thing for now is just to work on getting the scripts written and edited and maybe even work on some of the art. But would not propose to try to actually set anything up on You-Tube with out the approval of at least Chronicler, if not hS. If he hasn't changed it we actually have access to his personal e-mail address, so if at some point we are ready to go forward with this and he is still MIA we could attempt to contact him. Also I believe that he and Chronicler communicate outside this board, so I'm sure she would be able to track him down if it came to it.

Hey guys, I was on here like 4 years ago for a bit but didn't post too much. Anyway I thought of this the other day for some reason and was surprised to see it still around. I had an idea for how the movie would look (i.e. how it would be animated). I was playing the demo for the PS3 game "infamous" and the story parts have a sort of animated graphic novel look. The intro video is here:
Since theres not alot of people working on this, this would probably the easiest way of actually getting this project done. Obviously it would look different than that video, since we would have a different art style (not so dark) and were not professionals.

Hello Manveru! Welcome back! Thank you so much for the wonderful idea! Please do stick around. It's mostly just G and I for now and I'm absent much of the time due to school, but we do have a completed script, it just needs to be edited, which I'm supposed to be doing and will this summer after school lets out. G is working on getting us a storyboard up which will greatly assist with the editing process. We could sure use your help since you are familiar with the above program. It's not like you couldn't start working on it and then go back and make necessary changes as the script changed and it would probably help the editing process if we could actually see it being played out and hear the dialog versus just reading it. We could much more easily say "Oh yeah, that works" or "Well, that isn't what we are looking for, lets try something different", or "Yeah, that's good, but here's something even better". We both, but I'm sure G especially would greatly appreciate your presence and assistance. Thanks for thinking of the project and coming back to check it out. We really are in hopes of bringing this to fruition even if it is just G and I.

Well, after almost a month, I'm Back! I've looked in from time to time without logging in, but when I saw that there was so much activity on the board that I decided to take a break and let some other members have a chance to shine. Yep, well, It's good to be back. Manveru, do you know what they used to create that demo? I though just "Flash" but I don't know. If anyone else knows, please chime in. Thanks.
