This is a thread for linking to helpful Silmarillion-related resources. Some of them are, no doubt, more useful for the art and music teams - but we don't have those, so neh. Tolkien Heraldry - images of all of the known heraldic symbols of Middle-earth (including several Houses of Gondolin!); apart from anything else, it's just pretty. The Encyclopedia of Arda - my go-to site for all my 'How do you spell Eglarest?'-type questions. Not complete, but pretty good for generalities. Ardalambion - the Tolkien language resource. This is why I know Quenya - and Sindarin, now. The Genealogy of the Elder Days - not compiled by me, but by Philosopher at Large - her site isn't there any more. This is every elf and man who can be placed in the family trees of the Silmarillion. Very handy.

Avid user of The Encyclopedia of Arda and I have peeked at Aralabion a few times. I will look into Tolkien Heraldry and The Genealogy of the Elder Days in the near future. Thanks for the info.

Take a look at The Annals of Arda
It's pretty good on basic quick data. I used it a lot in the past. Decent time line info on certain characters. I don't like how some links produce a pop up but others don't but still a good site.
