Hello, I'm Gabriel(Beebo), I'm a programmer, in more than one language. specializing in Windows and Web. I love using search engines and finding new domains. I hope I can be a good resource to this board in my expertise. I do have some friends that do Movie, and animation, and also I have some tools for doing 3D design, I don't do it myself, but I would like to do that, but we will see. If anyone else wants it, it is called Truespace, by Caligari, it was being retailed for $600USD but when Microsoft bought them out they brought the price down to $0.00 so that is pretty cool. Regards, Gabriel

Yeah Truespace is quite powerful, like any program though it does have some getting used to, Apparently though it is comparable to 3D Studio Max.
I've downloaded all the Tutorials for it, which did take me awhile, as I don't have the fastest of internet.

Still recovering from Hurricane Ike so my posting has been off a little. Give me another week to rebound.

Welcome to anyone and everyone who joined during my extended absence. I was very sick for a long while and am still in recovery, plus I had to move to a different apartment because there were problems with the one I was living in. But I am here and attempting to help G-edit his version of the script. I haven't posted because I am reading the script when I get a chance. Chronicler and Maeglin are checking in even if they don't post. We still hold out hope that hS will come back to us again one day. In the meantime we work on G's version of the script. Don't let post dates fool you. Many of us log on and look around, but do not post anything.
Again welcome, we are glad you have joined and appreciate the many skills and talents each of you bring to the board. Hope you enjoy scouting the board, feel free to jump in at any time.

@ Lothriel, Meldon, studentofwar, beeboent, and andocockburn Since G and tamitha have taken the time to introduce themselves, I figured I would as well. I'm HiddenValor and it's a pleasure to meet you all. I joined this forum this past spring, and if you poke around, you'll probably see my posting mania all over the board that bit me when I first joined. I love Tolkien's stuff, especially the Silmarillion, and was so excited when I foundt his board. Life and school has really caught up with me, however, so I'm not posting much anymore, but I still come back and read any updates. Now that G has finished his script, though, I'm planning on taking a look at it and offering what edits that I can. I'm really excited about this project, for real. Thanks to all of you for showing interest. Any help you can supply would be greatly appreciated. HV

I just joined last night after seeing a video on youtube.
I may be able to write up a script or two(or edit other scripts) and possibly do voices when I hook my mic back up to the computer.

Yay! Another recruit! Welcome, welcome. Glorfindel's version of the Fall of the Noldor is done and ready for feedback. Since you volunteered yourself so readily, you can start there, if you'd like. Glad to have you aboard. HV

It's great to see that there are so many other people that would love to see the Silmirialion brought to life. I actually wasn't turned on to Tolkien until a friend of mine showed me the Battle of Helms deep in the LOTR Two Towers Film. The next day, I rented Fellowship and Two Towers. From that point on, I became a Tolkien junkie. I read the Rings triology, then the Hobbit, then finally the Silmirialion. It's my favorite of all Tolkien's books. Like many of you, I simply can't wait to see how amazing it would look on the big screen. Many people comment on how grand in scale, and how epic the triology films were, but those films would pale in comparison to the massive scale of the Silmirialion. Even if it doesn't make it to films, I would at least like to see HBO do something like a 12-14 part miniseries. Although, I don't know if 12-14 hours would enough to even scratch the surface of the Silmirialion.

*sigh* If only we could have a Silmarillion mini-series...if only...oh well, we'll just have to work with what we've got.

Mae Govannon! i am Silmaril ^_^ i am fairly new to the forums, so forgive my many questions that i'm sure i'll ask later. i am interested in being one of the actresses/singers in the silmarillion film. i have a fairly wide vocal range, middle alto to high soprano. i can also do a bit of scetching, ie: basic faces and clothing. (i have a concept scetch of manwe/melkor, just waiting for a scanner. ) i am hoping to learn how to help out more, so let me know if you can think of anything.

Hey there Silmaril.. I beg your forgiveness for not at least saying hello. I see you posted here weeks ago and I noticed that you logged on Dec. 29, and yet none of us have acknowledged your presence. Welcome! Welcome! G- & I are working on editing the first script. We need the input of actors and actresses on lines and characterization and there are spots requiring songs and singers. The plan is to do this animated, but we need sketches. We need to envision what the Valor and the elves will look like, clothing, etc. Please come on over, read the script, join in the editing process. I truly wish that some of the others who made such promising offers would come back and join in. G- & I can't do all that needs to be done alone. I am worthless to him other than the writing end of things and while he has some talents in other areas he can't bear the whole load alone.
Any way, glad to have you aboard. Please jump in!
