Silmaril, I too apologize for not properly welcoming you to the board. I don't know how I missed your post. Nevertheless, welcome aboard! As Tamitha already stated, we are doing an edit of the second version of the script for the first proposed movies, "Fall of the Noldor". Please chime in and give us your feed back. You are welcomed to get involved in any aspect of the project. Hope to see you posting soon!

Hello Silmarillion Film Project people,
I'm Sauron Gorthaur, but I go by Gorthaur or SG if you want something shorter or don't want to get me confused with the actual Dark Lord. I'm brand new to this website, but I'm quite interested. I'm a Creative Writing major in college currently, I write lots of fanfiction and original fiction, so I'd love to help with screenwriting (I even took a Screenwriting class last year in college.) I consider myself an amateur artist as well, and I'd love to help with some designs for the movie. I also already voice act on another website and have an advanced voice editing program and all the equipment to do that, so I'd be thrilled to voice act as well. So yeah, I'm excited that this project looks like it may be starting back up again, and I'll be delighted to help. May I just say that this is an awesome idea!
Can't wait to get to know you people and get started.

Hello Silmarillion Film Project people!
I'm Helcarosse - I've loved the Silmarillion ever since I first read it and IMHO it's Tolkien's most beautiful (though complex) work! I've always wanted to have some small part to play in the making of the movie, if any will be made indeed, so when I found this project I got really excited!! I've dabbled in drawing/photography/photomanipulation (you can find me on deviantart) and some fantasy writing so I'll have a look around to see where I could be most helpful. Can't wait to get to know you all and get stuck in!

Hi! I'm Turambar. I'm a History student with a long-rooted interest in swords, other edged weapons, war, and pre-gunpowder military strategy and tactics. I do a lot of creative writing – though not so much recently – and I have a thing for accuracy and realism in film and other media, especially with regards to combat. I also like doing 'monster' voices. I would love to help out with this project in any way possible. I really hope it's still going – a Silmarillion film is something I would give my left arm to see. I just hope it can be done before Peter Jackson decides to turn his eyes towards making one of his own. I don't think I could take a Silmarillion film that did to the books what he did to the Hobbit...

Greetings everyone, I've been lurking around Dr. Olsen's Tolkein classes and podcasts for a long time now and I'm really excited about this project. I hope it isn't merely an academic exercise.
