Yesterday, I saw that Beowulf movie at the IMAX (with 3D glasses!). I'm impressed.
...erm, I mean, we can do this better with our movie! ;-)

I haven't seen it yet, but I want to. But YES, ours will be better. It's just slow going since we are so few and all very busy with outside interests. But a labor of love none-the-less and will be reflected in the final product.

Tamitha, if you watch it, definitely watch it in a 3D-theatre! So much fun. :-)

I saw it in a regular theater and it still was visually impressive.

i heard some people talkin about it saying it was mimicking lord of the rings rings......i soon yelled abuse at them, but you cant expect everyone to know that it was one of Tokiens favourite poems.... so hes obviously going to use some of its themes in his own work

I saw it with my mom, and we both enjoyed it very much. I liked how it fleshed out some of the narrative gaps. I had to read the poem when I was a junior in high school, and honestly I was kind of bored, but the movie really put some nice twists into it to make it a little more interesting.

I didn't like all the changes but for someone that has not read the poem then it would be pleasing. I just know that J.R.R. would have protested and sent Host of Aman agaisnt them for make such "liberal" changes in the storyline. He loved the original poem.
