I've got it!
Julie Andrews as Melian. In her younger years, she could totally pull off Luthien and do the required singing as well.
Christian Slater as Curufin or one of the other sinister sons of Feanor.

I laughed at first at the Julie Andrews suggestion until I really thought about it, and you know what? That is not such a bad idea. ;D Slater would be okay I guess. His look is okay but I was never a fan of his acting. I keep wanting to fit Gary Olman somewhere....hmm....

Well, laugh all you want. I thought it was a brilliant idea. ;D I'm glad you agree with me. Gary Oldman? You mean the guy who played Sirius in Harry Potter? Oh yeah, he's got to be in there somewhere. He looks really good with touseled hair and a mustache... I think he would make a nice Feanor. Liam Neeson is also a must. He needs to play Fingolfin.

Hmm...I could see "The Rock" as Beorn for The Hobbit. Not sure about Melkor, though...Well, I kind of threw the Mr. Johnson in as a joke, although I really like his voice and presence. He has a natural "brooding" about him. His ethnic look may work against him a tad for casting in such a film, but he carries a lot of energy and weight and that's why I think he could do a Melkor well. Beorn could be cool too but I rather have Melkor loading up and "Putt'n the People's Elbow" on the Valar! ;D

Mads Mikkelson needs to be in there somewhere as well...I'm thinking Maeglin.

Mads Mikkelson would be a great addition. He could be Maeglin but also could fit into any number of roles. Nice choice.
