The State of the Project Address_Sept. 09

Hello,

My fellow Tolkien fans; admirers of the Silmarillion in particular, I just want to clear the air and speak about the status of the project in general today.

There were many dedicated members of the forum when this project first started and some very decent progress at the out set. That was followed by a lull in activity and then a resurgence in interest and energy. Now, we find ourselves at yet another low spot of activity.

I have tried to encourage board members to interact, even if it is just a brief comment on the way things are going, but to no avail. I have also vented my frustration of the lack of participation thinking that it may incite some response, but again, no resolution. There are many reasons why people have joined the board and I cannot say why anyone would join and then decide not to post but it is their prerogative.

As for continuing at this point, I have my reservations, but since there is such a lack of feedback and suggestions on any topic, I have decided to move forward with only my sensibilities to guide me. So, I'll be creating from my own perspective alone and hope for the best. The rest of the year is as follows:

3. Concept art FOTN

Hey! Don't write me off yet! Admittedly I haven't been posting or doing my editing job, but I'm visiting the site, I still seem to have a pulse and I think I'm breathing, but that just might be wishful thinking on my part. lol See PM, you'll understand. I'm riding shotgun, but I'm still here.

Shotgun?...asleep in the side seat more like it! ;D I hope you are doing better now. I know that you are peeping in from time to time. I just want to make it known that I will be moving along. I just don't want any, "Hey, wait a minute, what are you doing?" when I do what about to do. So check me out next week as we continue on the journey.
